    A Museum and much more.

Entering Marie's courtyard, we imagine the life that the Alsatian family, rural in the last century, could lead, and over the course of the visit, like a family album, the atmosphere of our ancestors' era comes alive. before our delighted eyes ...

This is where time stops to allow us to relive our roots and traditions, which we have known in our pre- and post-war villages.

it is the only museum showing a magnificent exhibition of more than 300 Raynal dolls

You can see a collection of televisions dating from 1951, a collection of radios from the 1920s to 1950s, and much more…

The museum also traces the history of the KUHN agricultural machinery business in Saverne from 1828 to the present day.

      RAYNAL DOLL’S MARVELLOUS WORLD

Made of felt material stuffed with wood shavings and straw, the first Raynal doll was designed and manufactured by Édouard Raynal, a dollmaker from Mulhouse (Southern Alsace).

The collection features over 70 dolls dating back to 1920 up to 1974, as well as other toys … our childhood memories.

The museum also boasts a doll repair clinic. So do not hesitate to call us if needed!

      Baby carriages

A rich collection of baby carriages from 1870 to 1970 from France, Germany and Great-Britain is also displayed.

“In my TERROT, I sweetly sleep” claimed the Dijon manufacture in 1930 (see picture).

Contrary to common belief, Terrot did not limit its manufacturing to bikes, motorcycles or other mechanical equipment.

OTHER ITEMS ARE ALSO ON DISPLAY

      •Sewing-machines from 1850 to 1950.

      •Over 100 baby-carriages from 1870 to 1970.

The Union des Coopérateurs d’Alsace (Union of Alsace Cooperators) was founded in 1902, in times of hardship, under the name of “Konsumverein”. The exhibition traces its history through to the present day.
